I loved and truly recommend the experience with Carla Jones, it really changed and improved my live! With small changes in my day to day routine I recovered my body balance, I am in my target weight, I don’t feel sick anymore and I have energy ! I no longer drag myself and feel so tired. Even when I don’t get enough sleep due to my 2 year old toddler , I have energy to play with her during the day! I feel great!! Thank you Carla!

I have enjoyed working with Carla, she has shown me how I can make small daily changes in diet and lifestyle which make a big difference and make me feel much more energetic on a daily basis . I would recommend Carla to my friends and family.

As director of an NGO that helps deaf kids, I was so fortunate to have Carla lead a cooking project to help our organization, t-oigo. Carla was amazing with the kids, both hearing and deaf, their parents, and the study abroad students, not only because she can relate well to all ages, but also in many languages. She is a wonderful organizer, detail-oriented, and driven to high standards. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude is a delight and inspiring. Our event was televised on national television in Spain and you can see Carla in action with t-oigo at Cooking Party on Lengua de Signos minute 16:33. She is media-friendly and photogenic. As far as the recipes and activities she chose for our families to make at the event, they were spot on: Age- appropriate, fun, creative.
Dale, Director at T-Oigo, Madrid, Spain
Carla communicated really well with her clients, integrated health coaching skills into the consultation and supported her clients with meal planning tools and nutrition/cooking/food knowledge. She also did very well in adapting at each follow up when changes took place between consultations while still supporting further progression. She showed very good ability to reflect and worked hard on areas of feedback given. One of Carla’s clients moved country suddenly in the middle of her case study and she tapped into her own experience of this to support the client and help her overcome barriers, researching how foods/ingredients/customs differed in the new country, translating the clients food diary from Portuguese into English while finishing the remaining case studies via Skype successfully. Her other client’s husband lost his job during the course of the case study, Carla adapted the approach taken at the first consultation to support her with budget limitations, taking advantage of having more free time as well as preparing her at the final consultation for when she had less support/time as her husband went back to work.

Going through a separation that comes out of nowhere is probably the most destabilizing experience anyone can go through… The foundation of your life gets ripped out from under you and you didn’t even know it was coming.  Just Boom!  Here you go – deal with it.  On the outside, I was strong.  I put on a straight face.  I got up every morning and continued the routine.  On the inside – Fear!  Fear like I’d never experienced before.  What on Earth am I going to do now?  Was it me?  Am I not worthy of the happily ever after?  How can anyone ever love me again when I come with so much baggage?  I’m not working – what if he completely fluffs off and I don’t have enough to feed my kids?

It’s not easy because it’s not meant to be easy.  It’s meant to be a lesson.  A lesson in personal strength.  A lesson in self-love.  A lesson in never prioritizing someone else before your own well-being and happiness.  Freedom is the reward for raising your standards and being true to yourself.  Filling your life with the people who actually care.  Feeling weightless from happiness.  Fear was showing me where I lacked confidence.  Freedom is the success from getting it back.

I’ve never met anyone who hasn’t faced adversity.  But you can either let it beat you down, or you can let it make you stronger.  The adversity that I faced was my life’s gift for building up my courage, for stepping up to the plate and shining my light, for testing out what  I am truly made of, and driving me to become a health and wellness coach… My childhood, my adulthood, my marriage, moving from country to country and having to start over from scratch every single time – it’s what’s built the courage in me to do the impossible, to challenge conventional norms,  to seek out daring adventures and laugh through almost anything in life.  Every time someone ever told me “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, it would make me angry from the banality of such a meaningless platitude that served me no purpose in a time when I felt like I couldn’t face any more adversity.  I had had enough of it given to me all at once.  But part of me also wondered – whatever it is I’m being made stronger for must be something BIG and Amazing.  Then I realized:  nothing could be bigger or more amazing than having the strength and courage of living My Life For ME – and that’s the greatest most unlimited adventure of all.

Have you ever felt like “the good life” was meant for everyone else but you?  Do you feel like no matter what you do – everything is a huge struggle and each step just moves you marginally forward, if at all?   I fought hard for everything I have in my life.  For the greater part of 40 years, no one supported me in my dreams.  The path I wished for was refused with the full force of my family and husband.  I tried to keep up.  I tried to stay at it.  Eventually, I broke – eventually, I started to think that they must all be right because after all of my hard work: I still wasn’t where I wanted to be.

Getting what you want doesn’t have to be hard… it just has to be carefully crafted into a workable plan – and you have to find your own positive support because you and I can have what we want when we equip ourselves with the right tools.  And when your dreams do come true and you’re brimming with the inner happiness of having achieved it – all those people who held you back will be the first ones in line to get your support. That’s how I feel now that I’m a health and wellness coach.
